I have worked with Tappan for over 15 years on many projects, large and small. As a result of our association we have won numerous awards and have many satisfied clients. During construction Steve Tappan is the key team player. Steve's role as a leader during the construction process enables him to manage the entire process. He has strong administrative abilities enabling him to implement and coordinate the work. He communicates well with the clients, the architect and engineers, subcontractors and suppliers and involves the appropriate parties at the proper time. Paperwork for estimates, project correspondence and change orders is timely and accurate. Most importantly he follows up to complete the project leaving the homeowner with 5-10% more than they expected. The last 2% of the project is the hardest to complete and Tappan makes sure that the Homeowners are pleased with the result. J. Taksa We had Tappan Builders renovate our early 1950's era home in Piedmont. This home is almost 5,000 ft. sq., and about two-thirds was totally demolished and rebuilt. In addition, there was a tremendous amount of structural work required to confirm to modern standards and support the new room configurations. The job required attention to exacting standards and included extreme finishing detail. We couldn't recommend Steve Tappan more highly. He completed the job on schedule despite some major unforeseen difficulties, and created a beautiful new home for our family.
